Simone grew up in Gardone Riviera, a town on Lake Garda known as a sailor's paradise. He started sailing as a child and took part in competitions in the Optimist and 420 classes.

Since Simone was into sailing from his childhood on, he decided to turn his passion for sailing into his profession.
After graduating in yacht design, he currently competes as a professional sailor in the best European sailing competitions, the Onedesign and Orc -irc classes.
