Lara is a professional sailor from Slovenia. She is 23 years old and has been sailing since before she could even walk. She is sailing on high-performance modern boats all over the world, most of the time as the only female sailor onboard, while also finishing a Master's degree in Sustainability Management at the University of Primorska in Slovenia.
Lara is currently part of an American TP52 team Quantum Racing. TP52 is a high- performance modern carbon boat class, full of America's Cup winners, Volvo Ocean Race competitors and Olympic medalists. The fleet is ranging from 9 to 12 boats and the competition is always intense and exciting. Quantum Racing is an American TP52 team with long history of racing in this class. They were titled World Champion and season winner multiple times and have built a team of many experienced and successful sailors. They all work together as a family.
Lara was racing onboard Quantum Racing in 2018, 2021 and 2022. In 2018 they won the TP52 World Championship and the 52 Super Series season together. In 2021 they were 2nd at the World Championship, 2nd in the overall season and finished every single event on the podium. This year they are expecting even bigger results.
Apart from that, Lara is also racing in a high-level class RC44 onboard Aleph. She has been part of the team for 4 years now, and they have won many regattas together. In 2021 they finished 3rd in the overall season, which was the best result for the team since its beginning.
Lara also enjoys the classics, which she has been sailing since she was very young, and is the helmsman of a 15 Meter Class Mariska. In 2021 they won the Monaco Classic Week regatta.
CODE-ZERO is a high-quality brand with performance sailing gear and fashion. In the last 3 years, there has not been a single event where Lara has not used at least one of the CODE-ZERO products. Her favourites for sailing are the Luff Shorts and all of the jackets. She says the jackets are also a great day-to-day piece of clothing, which she wears regularly.
